Transforming everyday living spaces into dreamy and luxurious spaces of comfort, style and appeal

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

Gold Coast Magazine Christmas edition

“Apartment by apartment, Artcraft Design & Joinery are transforming everyday living spaces on the Gold Coast into dreamy and luxurious spaces of comfort, style and appeal.

Artcraft Design & Joinery believe that purchasing or building a house is one of the biggest investments people make in their lifetime. Renovating and restoring a property can be just as daunting and people often find it difficult trying to transform ideas into a working reality, which can lead to chaos and disappointment. This is all too familiar for Phil Andrews, the managing director and designer of Artcraft Design & Joinery, who has witnessed this many times.”

“Phil knows that for a project to be successful it has to be a reflection of the people who live in it. He says, “We recognize each project is an expression of the owner’s unique personality and therefore must reflect their needs and lifestyle”. He stresses that the most critical element whether designing a brand-new home or simply updating the interior is to get a feel for the owner’s desires and needs, then working backwards in the planning so that each change and addition works towards the perfect result.”

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Our director and designer Phil Andrews would like to extend his gratitude to Robert and Faye Cooke for allowing us the opportunity of designing and refurbishing their rather large sub-penthouse in Main Beach. It has been an absolute pleasure working with such nice people and we are looking forward to a long lasting friendship that has transpired over the length of the project. Thanks again.

Unit and Home Renovations

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Renovating a unit or a home can be a very stressful and expensive exercise and so having it done right on time or budget is not the norm.

Phil Andrews has been involved with interior design and renovations on the Gold Coast for over 20 years. Manufacturing for most of the better interior designers on the coast Phil has found a real niche in the market that suits his knowledge and flair. “Renovating not only gives us a lot of satisfaction but because we have our own joinery shop and trades people we have full control for the correct results”

“Our 3D imaging gives realistic designs and concepts that is probably the best there is, that and our own team of trades people gives us the edge on most.”

When renovating your home or apartment it makes good sence to talk and discuss with people who will consider the whole logistical process and work with your individual requirements to create something that is functional but also interesting.

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

“Good planning is a crucial element of the ideal home.  Most of the time it only takes moving of a wall, window or doorway to make all the difference so having our own joinery shop means we have full control of any manufacturing that takes place and are equipped for on-site renovations which have been a large part of business in recent years” says Phil Andrews Director of Artcraft

What’s important when designing a kitchen

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Most people wouldn’t be aware that 85 per cent of kitchen designs don’t work for one reason or another. Too many times homeowners are left with the task of resolving bad design and space issues, this is often the result of a quick sale and a design that has not been thought out. Often important items are overlooked, such as space, functionality, bins, tea-towel racks and accessible storage, and all of which are fundamentally import to the final product.

Whip up a distinct look for the kitchen

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Good planning is the crucial element to the ideal home. Designers are often left with little or no usable space to create an interesting and distinct look, where most of the time it only takes the movement of a wall, window or doorway to make the difference.

“Keeping an Eye on the Trends”

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

“With the current trends moving more and more towards eclectic, it’s all about mixing different colours, patterns and objects creating a unique and interesting appearance”  says owner of Artcraft Design Phil Andrews.

Sometimes creating a bold, unusual interior involves a delicate balancing act. Out-of-the-ordinary materials or unusual combinations that find linking elements allow disparate parts to work as unified whole.

Recognition in Bulletin for Malibu Apartment

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Our praises have been mentioned again. Owners Colin and Lila Eicher couldn’t be happier with the work we did in their Malibu apartment, so much so that they mentioned us in their editorial in the Gold Coast Bulletin.
